What about my issues too? Where are the answers?

You can probaly modify Mr Iceblock to become smartblock.

You can change the sprite of Mr. Iceblock to the sprite of Smart Block, but this doesn't change his behavior.

Stay on platform attribute was deleted in 0.3.0. Since then some types of badguys always stay on the platform, while another don't. Some badguys have also something like maximum fall height, so it's something between.

PS: Smartblock will get added here.

Also, why isn't there an All Tiles or All Objects option?

Feature request

Postby J_128 » 25 Jun 2016, 20:34

I have a quick feature request: Could you make objects snap to the grid, like they do in the external editor? That is one feature of the external editor I like. :)

There are three different types of torches. But you can only use one of them in the Editor.
You should also be a able to change the sprite of the torch.

I also have a question about the x-positions and y-positions for objects, because you need them for some scripts.
Unfortunately, I don't know where I can see which positions an object has, like in the external editor.

I find something really annoying: I cannot just normally move the cursor in a script.I might have a lot of scripting, then it suddenly has to be completely rewritten for one tiny error. And Why can't I resize it so the top or sides have more space? Or make a new tilemap? Or make a worldmap, even though you all said it could be done!

You can create a worldmap by selecting a level, then go to the menu and click on Level Subset Properties and then click on Create Worldmap.

Script editing is currently suboptimal - we don't want to implement yet another text editor in the game. Maybe scripting will be dropped entirely and replaced with a snippet menu for commonly used stuff.

Some of these features should be implemented in the in-game editor if they aren't yet, but we don't want to make the in-game editor the main editor. For complex tasks (e.g. complex scripting, official levels, ...), Flexlay should be used.

I just noticed that every time when you change the x or y speed (of a tileset or a background) to a number, like 0.7, the speed will automatically set to 0.

Also, the directions up and down don't work for ispy (the eye thing in the level: silent walls). Instead, ispy always looks to the left when you test the level.

Changing the x speed works now. However: If you change the y speed to numbers, like 0.7, you can see the change in the editor, but when you test a level or load the level, the y speed will set to hole numbers. (1, 2, 3...)

The editor doesn't save the y speed of a tilemap, when the number is below 1. (like 0.1, 0.2,...)

Is it possible to add one's own sprites to the new ingame level editor?
If anyone nows a way without overwriting exiting sprites please share it.
it would be highly appreciated.

Yes, add a subdirectory to your profile directory. Everything below the profile directory can get accessed by SuperTux. Then just change the Sprite property of whatever it is you want to change.
