Nice, could you also make the black background in the table of contents a little more transparent 50 % transparency?

And move the MediaWiki logo in the footer a little bit down so it is vertically centered like the text in the footer

Maybe the name 'take the tour" (it is the name for the ubuntu page ) is not good but it is to introduce OD. It must be a beautiful page.
e.g. : for ubuntu it is http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/features

Otherwise, I think that the main page isn't very user friendly... I think my page (or something like this) http://opendungeons.sourceforge.net/index.php/User:Xapantu/Take_the_tour would be better for new users and the current main page maybe a page called "get involved" ? (I know, I can't decide but it is my opinion )

Yeah, the original design of the main page was meant to be just a simple index to all the important pages on the wiki. It should probably be moved to a new page called "Launchpad" or "Portal" or something like that to free up the main page for something more inviting to new visitors.

I updated the sidebar.

One more thing, when you edit a page in the wiki could you change the background color of the "edit field" to this color #000000 and make it 50 % transparent and let the text color be this color #e0e0e0?
