thats an engine, dunno if there is a place for such things also: http://www.maratis3d.com/

and, on http://planet.freegamedev.net/ if you look at the list of subscriptions, the link that leads to ancient beast seems to be victim of some copy/paste fail.

Already added maratis3d to http://planetdev.freegamedev.net/ (DEV PLANET) :)

The facebook link is inside the feed, nothing I can do about it. Perhaps ask them if they did a copy-paste fail?

Ok, will do. Sorry for the confusion with wiki, planet, game and dev, its a bit unclear to me. I just learned where to click ;)

Hey, if you have any layout suggestions.. shoot! :) we do have the feeling that planet, dev planet and wiki are not very populated (perhaps because they are not very visible..)

The separation between planet and dev-planet is not too clear to me. The freegamer blog is focused on playable releases, while the dev planet brings also news about progresses, from my understanding.
Maybe they should be merged, and if there is some new playable release somewhere, mark that article in some way.
That would simplify the structure a bit. At the moment, there are eight items in the headline, I think that is too much. Also, the "old forums" link could be hidden somewhere in the actual forum, I dont think it needs a placement in the headline.
Also, a little resorting maybe: LGWiki next to Freegamer, FreeArtSearch next to OpenGameArt, and flag it as alpha (or take it off as long as it is alpha).

The blog is manually maintained and includes all kinds of articles, interviews, etc. It is a blog.

The planet is an RSS feed of game projects.

The dev planet is an RSS feed of game dev tools and developer blogs.

The distinction is pretty clear once known; perhaps a description on the planet and dev planet would help for new comers.

Would you like to consider adding http://bygfoot.sourceforge.net/new/news/ to the games planet?

I recently discovered an awesome service: http://page2rss.com

It generates an rss for non-rss-enabled web pages!

For example:
FreeOrion - http://page2rss.com/page?url=www.freeor ... /Main_Page appears very usable. Apparenlty somebody before me got the idea to use this for FO.
LinWarrior or BOS Wars haven't been added by anybody else, so the feed is empty yet:
http://page2rss.com/page?url=hackcraft. ... nloads.htm
http://page2rss.com/page?url=www.boswars.org/news.shtml

Should I add page-rss of projects that we don't know yet if the pages are being updated in a clear/useful manner?

Please post news pages (already converted by http://page2rss.com/ would be nice) for projects that have no Feed and which you'd like to be tracked via the Planet!

Can the Syntensity feed be moved to the devplanet? It's not really a game and lately most of it is reporting on the progress of running proprietary software on the web.

(Also, charlie, where is syntensity about running proprietary software on the web? But yeah, it should be in dev planet)

No, Doom is proprietary. Doom Engine is open source. However, that's being pedantic, so you are right.

Seems the planet isn't updating again. It's stuck on August 18, but there are a lot of posts since then.
