Seeking Python developer for open source game client

Postby fstltna » 13 Feb 2015, 07:18

Hi! I am working on modifying a game client called ptkei2 for my multiuser Empire-like game called Imperium. The problem I am running into is that my game does not use the empire standard of prefixing each line with a character command code like C_DATA etc. I do have a prefix that is used to identify front-end related data using a “!” and then 2 or three characters for the sub type of data. All other data does not have a special prefix and I am having trouble getting the client to properly display the data.

The other code is a “:” which indicates a login attempt is in progress and it appears before the player and password lines and I think I have that working as the lower-right box displays a command prompt (but also has other text that should not appear so maybe I don’t).

Once I have this logging in portion working I will get the rest done on my own but I would like to ask you for help on the login & command sending issue. I can not pay much as this is a open source project but can pay say $50-$75 for your assistance.

My github page: https://github.com/fstltna/PyImp

My game portal website: https://EmpireDirectory.net

If you are fluent in Python and want to contribute to a open source game project please let me know if you can work with me!
