The Key of the World is a reimplementation of my previous RPG using Urho3d engine. It is a fantasy game inspired by old classics, mostly Fallout 1&2. Expect lot of talking, no "quest map markers" (have no idea about how to implement it, anyway) but also lot of combat. You can see some early screenshots here: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=6060
Since that images, the development was delayed because of some difficulties with AngelScript, so I have only added proper gamestate support and dialog system initial work.
What is urgently needed:
- 2D artist: I have been using art from OGA for the UI elements, but even when it is great, it is not enough or not always matches the needs of the game/engine tools. We need our own UI now, before the project advances any further.
- 3D modellers: Low poly organic and environment modellers/animators. OGA lacks animated models, Urho3d includes a single model with only one animation. The game uses an isometric view, so the models doesnt need to be highly detailed.
- Developers: I need more people helping to think. So far I have been dealing with a new engine and its scripting language (which has its share of twists, issues, etc).
Still there is no git repo available, I prefer to wait for the rest of the team to decide where to host it (heard github is blocked in Russia).
also, Im planning to start a donation campaign later (more on this when I officially announce it).
