I will try to list Steam games on the group that have open source foundations (as in, the game is open source / Free Software) but has made it onto Steam. Currently there's one that I know of but I'm sure there's more, so please let me know!

I've seen several open source games on Steam, but that must have been on Greenlight, for now I can't name another published one.

On Greenlight there is:

Steam group search fail. I looked for "Free Gamer" and that was not amongst the prominent search results.

(the current version on Steam is not strictly speaking "open source", since it's newer than the currently available GPL version ( http://www.roguetemple.com/z/hyper/download.php ). But the developer claims that the content of the Steam version will eventually be added to the GPL version too, but with a delay (which is a perfectly fine commercial model for free software IMO, as long as the dev keeps his promise).

There might be a couple more that I missed, and I know I saw other open source games on Greenlight (at least Hydra Slayer by the same dev as HyperRogue).

EDIT: Ah, it's zlib licensed. And probably the author has the original rights to the code anyhow.
