I totally agree with that. It might even give us more variety, since it would be easier to only create a kart (it would only need to follow certain guidelines, and you would automatically have a set of characters for it) or a character only (again which would automatically have a set of karts available).

-Then the player choose between 2 different skidding

--> automatic skidding (the current one with boost ;), yes this is a kind of automatic skidding, you don't have to activate the boost )

3 different karts per character?? If so we need to seriously cut some characters or alternatively find a heap more modellers (or one very motivated and skilled one).

No, this is not what I said (I have not been precise enough) when the player choose a character, he has the choice between 3 karts (or 6 with "alternative karts" but this was just an example)

Most of karts will be the same, in common the others characters but with different colors ;)

I don't think so.. :| i think it's better to let player choose in the menu, of cource this ctr (manual) skidding should give you a little advantage ;)
But the "double press button" can be good to activate nitro. Because people don't want to use a new keyboard key (this is maybe better than a delay) and the Tutorial by Auria can explain this :cool:

For all karts, I think it's a bad idea.
If one day we want to animate the jubilation or irritation of a mascot because he hit a rival or was hit by another, it's better that the mascots have neutral attitude first.

Your fire style stickers don't appear when I test it in game. I think it's because your files don't respect the POT rule.
And I'm sorry but I don't like the new logo more.
Since you sent the file I'll try something and send it to you.

For the name I find it ridiculous, on all the karts.
Look at Mario Kart games. Except logos and scribal abbreviations "DK" of Donkey Kong, there's no sticker name.
Stickers would be as packed as sponsors stickers on formula one.
Look Suzanne's kart. it's lighted, devoid of fioritura. There's Blender's logo only.
I really like Konqi's kart spoiler when he is "naked".

I like exhausts too.

Now Konqi seems faithful to the original image.
Ingame I found his green too luminous. I think I'll desaturate it and send you the new texture.

i have do something about mouth but something wrong appear if i closed :(

i never played that game, actually that is just my idea for tweak new inovative thing :lol:

I completely agree with jymis ! Kart don't need stickers, logo or something like this. As i said these logos can even be a problem in a near future (with some karts/character), it is like bad car tuning :oops:

oh, that logo is like that ... The simple previously unthinkable by me, good :o



actually I'm not sure with my idea, things like stickers just pour what I want to make ... and I was lacking in terms of beauty :lol:

so I just tried another idea, which could possibly be used

Also note that you mostly only see the kart from the back, so a lot of the details will actually be invisible (for most of the game, short of end animations ... and who is looking at them anyway ;) ).

They certainly should at the end animation ;)

In game we don't support this atm (we play the animation for steering left/right, and don't have support for another animation running in a loop at the same time).
