Lens dust

Lens dust

Hello

Vlj told me to try to make Lens dust effect.

The effect:
Basically when there is a bright light source, it lights dusts on the lens of the camera

The shader needs two input. The rendered texture + a dust texture
An example of dust texture. It should be on dark ground

I put blend mode so you can reproduce easily on gimp if you want (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blend_modes for math formula).

illuminated dust = darken only(Dust texture, Highly contrasted version of the rendered texture)

Final output = screen (illumated dust, rendered texture)

In the final output it's barely visible and I doubt anyone will notice it this way. I think it would be better if it got to a certain level where it really bothers the player. (In real life, driving towards the sun is a pain as well.)

I wonder how much work it would be to add a windscreen splash effect. In effect, you randomly place and remove a pattern on an overlay during gameplay.
For dusty tracks you can see the dust build. For rainy tracks you can see drops on the windscreen.
